Principal’s Message

Principal Cicely Marks

Greetings Eccleston Elementary School Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year.  Thank you for choosing Eccleston Elementary. I am thrilled to welcome all of our new and returning students and families back to school.  It is a privilege to serve as principal of such a special school and community. As I begin my second year as principal of Eccleston, I am energized and committed to serving our students, families, teachers, and staff with excellence and care.

In efforts to align our goals with the Superintendent's Strategic Plan, our theme this year is, “Wild About Learning.”   Learning is defined as the process of increasing, and our growth potential is based on our ability to grow.  As educators, we believe that all students can learn, perhaps at different rates and through various instructional styles, but all students have the potential to grow and increase their proficiency.  Our goal this year is to improve our proficiency academically and socially by providing students with a nurturing environment where they are challenged, enriched, and mistakes are utilized as growth opportunities.

The teachers and staff at Eccleston are committed to creating rich and diverse pathways to lead our students to success.  We will accomplish this by setting high expectations for student learning and providing our students with high-quality instruction.  We will continue to be aggressive in our approach to learning by providing an inclusive learning environment, while implementing best practices in academics, health and safety.  Ms. Frazier and I are humbled to serve as your leaders, and we are asking each of you to embrace this theme as we enter into the new school year.

Student success is based on a partnership that is built between home and school. We appreciate the support you provide to your children at home to help them meet their learning goals. Please stay connected and informed by visiting our school website, connecting to Parent Square, and attending our parent engagement learning opportunities. Please join PTA, SAC, and/or become a school volunteer through our ADDitions program. With your support, we will ensure every Eccleston Elementary student has a promising and successful future.

We are privileged to have you as a part of the Eccleston family. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a great year.

Sincerely,

Cicely P. Marks, Ed.S
Principal
